What would you like to learn?

Start with the foundations

Start with the decisions that come before a ticker symbol: what the money is for, when you might need it, and how much uncertainty you can tolerate. The foundations guides explain accounts, market mechanics, and the difference between owning a fund and choosing individual companies. Read these first if investing terminology is still getting in the way. You do not need a complicated strategy to benefit from understanding the basics.

Build a research process

A watchlist is more useful when each company has a reason to be there. Work through the research guides to understand what a business sells, how it earns money, and what its financial statements reveal. Then look at valuation: an appealing business and an appealing share price are separate questions. The aim is a process you can repeat, with notes about both the opportunity and what could prove your original thinking wrong.

Manage the portfolio

Buying is only one decision. The portfolio guides cover how individual holdings fit together, why position size matters, and when a portfolio deserves another look. Use this section to connect company research with decisions about concentration, rebalancing, and selling. A collection of stocks from the same industry may have more shared exposure than it first appears. These guides explain the trade-offs rather than prescribe a portfolio for your circumstances.
