Meta Stock Dividend: Cash Payments vs. the New Stock Dividend

Does Meta stock pay a dividend?

Yes. Meta pays a quarterly cash dividend. As of October 26, 2026, its latest declared cash payment was $0.525 per share of Class A and Class B stock, payable September 28, 2026. Separately, Meta has announced a conditional stock dividend involving a new Class C share class. Those two uses of the word “dividend” mean very different things for your account.

The cash payment is money distributed to eligible shareholders. The proposed share distribution would add shares, without magically doubling the business they represent. It’s an important distinction, particularly when a headline makes an extra share sound like an extra payday.

Here’s how to read Meta’s current cash program alongside the new announcement, without giving the calculator more optimism than the facts support.

How much is Meta’s cash dividend?

The company’s September 10 cash-dividend declaration set the payment at $0.525 per Class A or Class B share, with a September 21 record date and September 28 payment date.

At that unchanged rate, four payments would equal $2.10 per existing share annually. A hypothetical eligible holding of 100 shares would receive $52.50 for one quarter, or $210 across four identical payments, before applicable taxes or deductions.

That annualized calculation is not a promise about future declarations. It also should not be mechanically applied to an increased share count after a recapitalization. Any future per-share payment must be checked against the share structure and declaration then in effect.
